Dayton Dental Society

The Dayton Dental Society's mission is to promote the profession of dentistry and enhance the quality of life for our members and the public they serve.

Greene County Public Health received approval from the Department of Defense's Innovative Readiness Training Program to host a GuardCare weekend in Greene County in 2024. The Ohio National Guard provides GuardCare once a year with ours being the first GuardCare since 2019. The event serves to test the Ohio National Guard's medical units’ ability to respond if there was a need for mass medical services within a community and it provides free health services to the participating county’s communities. GuardCare is open to anyone Statewide, and we expect local and State dignitaries to attend. A wide range of healthcare services are provided by more than 70 certified doctors, dentists and qualified health care personnel who serve in the Guard. The event is scheduled to take place Saturday, August 10; 8am-5pm & Sunday August 11, 2024; 8am-3pm at Greene County Career Center. GuardCare events are not possible without the contributions of local health service professionals, community organizations, businesses, and service providers.

We are asking all Dayton Dental Society members to donate any supplies they can to GuardCare 2024. Supplies can be turned in at the Annual Clinic Meeting, or either of the April or May General Membership meetings. If you would like to make other arrangements, please just call or email Kasey. We ask that all donations please be turned in by May 6, 2024. You may access the list of items needs by visiting:  Dayton Dental Society: Donations for GuardCare (signupgenius.com)
